the cultivation
preanthropic began as one voice, sending a verse each Sunday. It exists to become a field: the subscription funds the search, the search finds the next voice, and the verse travels from the open page to the lyric, the label, the campaign. The next poet is already writing somewhere a meter is not measuring.
the founding truth
A child entered a school-district contest at eleven and won it. Three years later, still writing — a poet, not a contestant. The question was never whether the next one existed. The question was whether anyone was watching for them: before the algorithm, before the arena, before the word mortgage was explained as death pledge.
We cultivate poets the way a field cultivates light — by leaving the soil open and waiting for the seed that was already there.
send your verse
No fee, no gate, no genre. One poem, written by you, by hand or however you hold a pen. Tell us the age you write from and the name you'd answer to. The submission enters the cultivation queue — read, kept, and matched when the field is ready.
…
the horizon
A poem is a lyric before it knows it. We match poets to artists and labels looking for the line that becomes a chorus.
A campaign is a poem with a budget. We pair brands with poets who write for the ear, not the deck.
From the independents to the majors — the cultivation feeds them voices that began in the open, not in a boardroom.
This is the horizon, not the harvest. The submission box is real. The matching opens as the field fills — and the field is filling now.
